Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I pray that this letter finds you in much health and peace.  I wanted to share with all the great families and friends of Faith Temple what the Lord is doing in our midst. 

 

This personal message is meant to inform you all of the decision to resign membership with the Church of God In Christ (COGIC) as of 21 August 2018; this decision has come through much prayer to the Lord, counsel and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

This September our ministry will be four years old, the Lord has truly blessed us to grow and provide ministry for each family member; I am excited about the work of the Lord in our future.  Over these few years the Lord has given me a broader perspective of being more effective in reaching the lost and meeting the needs of the people here in the Culpeper region and therefore my focus has shifted in that vein.  I can admit that I don’t have all the answers of how God is moving but through prayer He has leveled my concerns and I am at peace with this new move.  I know this is a start of the international ministry that the Lord has for me to lead and He is beginning the work here in Culpeper; to prepare me and all those that will serve to reach people of different walks.

Faith Temple held a member’s only meeting on 10 August to discuss the changes concerning the church.  I explained to the church members that this move has nothing to do with the COGIC values or it's doctrine but that it has to do with the administration needs and values of Faith Temple and the vision the Lord has given me to carry out on His time table; not mine.  The members were all receptive of the changes and desire to move forward with the vision that God has given - PRAISE GOD!!

I thank God for the Jurisdictional Prelate of Virginia #1 Bishop Ted G. Thomas Sr., General Board Member of the Church of God In Christ for all he has done as my Pastor and in support of what God is doing in the ministry here in Culpeper Virginia.  His initial acknowledgement of this call was vital to me moving forward with great enthusiasm; his support was and is a great blessing to me.  I thank God for everything that I’ve been able to glean from Bishop’s natural and spiritual guidance, and I am grateful to have been a small part of the work the Lord is doing through him; I have always viewed it as a privilege to serve.

My wife and I have served in COGIC over 30 years, we have gained significant growth in the Lord through the COGIC; and will continue to move forward in what we have learned and been a part of sharing with Gods people in the COGIC.  I pray that this new direction that God has for Faith Temple will continue to be a tremendous blessing for all God's people that we will serve in our labor of love for the Kingdom.
