          Missionary Janita T. Cliette

Missionary Janita T. Cliette was born at the Columbia Hospital in Washington D.C. to Deacon James and Evangelist Alfreda Dixon. She was the third of five siblings, two sisters and two brothers. Sister Cliette was nurtured in Capital Heights, Maryland, attending school and graduating from Suitland High school in 1991; she later received her Bachelors Of Science Degree in Journalism from Bowie State University.

While attending college, Sister Cliette began an internship at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland.  She would later be assigned permanent employment there researching requests for historical documents and this is also where her husband; the Elder Lawrence Cliette Sr. found her. The two married on February 19th, 2000.

Now a military spouse, Sister Cliette relocated to the Antelope Valley in California. This valley was nestled in the Mojave Desert, but her experience there was far from a desert experience. Although Sister Cliette thought this would be her chance to break free from church, God didn’t have it that way. With the help of her husband, she was led to a bible believing, tongue talking church that helped her gain deliverance from church hurt, unforgiveness and view God in a new and exciting way.

In 2001 the family  relocated back to the Washington, D.C. area where they were able to join the New Community Church of God in Christ in Waldorf Maryland under the leadership of Superintendent Willie R. Hunt. While in this ministry, Sister Cliette received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and developed a strong desire to read and understand the Word of God. In 2005 the family relocated to Rapid City, South Dakota where Sister Cliette discovered God in ways she never imagined. She became a stay-at-home-mom and learned to submit to God’s will against her own, she witnessed great miracles and watched God shine bright in her life through difficult but fascinating times; God truly blessed her.

In 2007, the family again moved back to the Washington, D.C. area and re-joined Spread The News Church of God In Christ in Temple Hills Maryland, under the leadership of Superintendent Dwayne E. Jones and settled in Culpeper, Virginia. The family never thought they would have a Virginia address, but God saw different. After nearly three years of traveling almost two hours to church in Maryland, they were lead to Yeshua Church of God In Christ in Manassas Virginia; under the leadership of Superintendent Tony H. Campbell, Administrative Assistant to General Board Member, Bishop Ted G. Thomas Sr., Prelate of the Historic First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Virginia, of the Church of God In Christ.  Sister Cliette was committed to the Lord and active in the Yeshua ministry.  She served as the Youth Sunday School Teacher and aides with various youth functions, she sang in the Choir and Praise and Worship Team, and was a member of the Pastor’s aide committee.

God has been doing great and marvelous things in their lives and on September 24th of this year, the Cliette family began a new ministry called "Faith Temple Church of God in Christ" in Culpeper, Virginia. "God is good and worthy of every bit of the praise". Hallelujah! Sister Cliette currently works in the Culpeper County School system as a Para Teacher, she has been blessed with five amazing children that love the Lord: Shanel, Lawrence Jr., Lauren, Bryce, and Jason.
